bye bye 2011, hello 2012

This will be my last blog post of 2011. It is almost the New Year. Now it’s time to reflect back on the previous year. In 2011 i have laughed, cried, evolved, made mistakes…and learned from those mistakes. But it was a year of successes and great people and I am very happy about that.

I have learned that it is better to love and cherish what we have than miss what we have lost and don't take everything to heart. On the other-side thinking about all the good things that happened through the year, all the people, the life changing moments, all the memories..Now its time to say Good-bye to 2011, you will be forever remembered.

And hello, year 2012, I am so excited to see what you bring to us! Happy New Year, everyone!!! May 2012 be a wonderful year for us all !!

I'm looking forward to New Beginning, New Hopes and New Dreams !! I thank my family and all my dear friends for all your love and support. Wish all to have a healthier, wealthier and a prosperous 2012. May you all have good health and success in 2012 and years to come.

Silent Love

From the very beginning, the girl's family objected strongly about her dating this guy. Saying that it has got to do with family background and that the girl will have to suffer for the rest of her life if she were to be with him.

Because of the family's pressure, the couple quarrel very often. Though the girl love the guy deeply, but she always ask him: "How deep is your love for me?"

As the guy is not good with words, this often causes the girl to be very upset. With that and the family's pressure, the girl often vents her anger on him. As for him, he only endures it in silence.

After a couple of years, the guy finally graduated and decided to further his studies overseas.
Before leaving, he proposed to the girl: "I'm not very good with words. But all I know is that I love you. If you allow me, I will take care of you for the rest of my life. As for your family, I'll try my best to talk them round. Will you marry me?"

The girl agreed, and with the guy's determination, the family finally gave in and agreed to let them get married. So before he left, they got engaged.

The girl went out to work, whereas the guy was overseas, continuing his studies. They sent their love through emails and phone calls. Though it was hard, they never thought of giving up.

One day, while the girl was on her way to work, she was run over by a car that lost control. When she woke up, she saw her parents beside her bed. She realized that she was badly injured. Seeing her mum crying, she wanted to comfort her. But she realized that all that could come out of her mouth was just a sigh. She has lost her voice ....

The doctor said that the impact on her brain has caused her to lose her voice. Listening to her parents' comfort, but with nothing coming out from her, she broke down.

During the stay in hospital, besides silent cry, ..... it was still just silent cry that companied her. Upon reaching home, everything seems to be the same. Except for the ringing tone of the phone. Which pierced into her heart every time it rang. She does not wish to let the guy know. Not wanting to be a burden to him, she wrote a letter to him saying that she does not wish to wait any longer.

With that, she sent the ring back to him. In return, the guy sent millions and millions of replies, and countless of phone calls ... but all the girl could do was more crying ....

The parents decided to move away, hoping that she could eventually forget everything and be happy.

With a new environment, the girl learned sign language and started a new life, telling herself everyday that she must forget the guy.
One day, her friend came and told her that he's back. She asked her friend not to let him know what happened to her. Since then, there wasn't anymore news of him.

A year has passed and her friend came with an envelope containing an invitation card for the guy's wedding. The girl was shattered. When she opened the letter, she saw her name in it instead.

When she was about to ask her friend what's going on, she saw the guy standing in front of her. He used sign language telling her "I've spent a year's time to learn sign language. Just to let you know that I've not forgotten our promise. Let me have the chance to be your voice. I Love You."
With that, he slipped the ring back into her finger. The girl finally smiled.

A Blessed Christmas to all my readers

Today I would like to wish all of you who take their time to visit my blog. This year surely was an eventful one and with the change of year approaching rapidly. I’m looking forward to the next one.

Today is Christmas day – the day on which the birth of Christ is celebrated .All around the world people will be sitting down to special meals, giving gifts, singing, and attending religious services. In honor of this great holiday , we have a list of Christmas facts.

The Date

In the early Church, Christmas was not celebrated as a major feast. The first evidence of the Church attempting to put a date on the day of Christ’s birth comes from 200 AD, when theologians in Alexandria decided it was the 20th of May. By the 380s, the Church in Rome was attempting to unite the various regions in using December 25th as the universal feast day, and eventually that is the day that stuck. As so often was the case in the early Church, the influence of the pagan feasts of Rome is seen, because December 25 was the festival for the birth of the sun. St Cyprian makes mention of this: “O, how wonderfully acted Providence that on that day on which that Sun was born ...Christ should be born.”

Christmas Tree

The association of trees with Christmas comes from Saint Boniface in the 7th century AD, when he chopped down a tree sacred to Thor to prove to the local villagers that the Norse gods were not legitimate. By the 15th century people were cutting down trees and putting them in their homes to decorate with sugared fruit and candy and candles. By the time Luther came around, it was a long established tradition.

Xmas

That one small word causes anger amongst many people; many Christians consider it to be disrespectful to replace Christ’s name with an ‘x’ – even going so far as to that that it is a ploy by anti-Christians to de-Christianify Christmas. However, Xmas is almost as old as the feast it refers to – the ‘x’ is actually the Greek letter chi which is the first letter of Christ’s name in Greek (Χριστός). Xmas is every bit as religious as Christmas.

Santa Claus

Santa Claus is actually based on the early Church Bishop Saint Nicholas. He was born during the third century (around 270 AD), in the village of Patara in Turkey, and was known for secretly giving gifts of money to the poor. The modern image of him as a jolly man in red most likely comes from the 1823 poem “A visit from St Nicholas” also known as “The Night before Christmas” which you can read in full here.

That brings to an end our special Christmas list. I hope you enjoyed it and you all have got what you wished for and have a wonderful Christmas!!! :)

Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol Movie review

We last saw Impossible Mission Forces agent Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise) all but walking into the sunset with new wife Julia (Michelle Monaghan). Now? He’s locked up in a Russian prison and she’s nowhere to be found. Well the movie start like this.

I won’t get into the story too much as I don’t want to ruin it for anyone, but the basic plot is that the Kremlin in Russia is bombed by a terrorist group and IMF is framed for it. Because of these actions, the president decides to activate Operation Ghost Protocol, which essentially means that the entire IMF organization is disavowed, meaning Ethan and his team are on their own.

The performances were generally good all around. Simon Pegg was enjoyable as Benji and Tom Cruise is always great as Ethan Hunt. Jeremy Renner and Paula Patton also gave some great performances. There’s also a great cameo by Slum Dog Millionaire’s Anil Kapoor. His character is onscreen for a few minutes, but Kapoor brings it with the limited time he has.

The action sequences are where the film really shines. When a good animation specialist (Brad Bird) directs an live action film, the outcome would most likely be positive. From a prison break to Moscow Kremlin, then from the Burj Khalifa and car chase in a Dubai sand storm to India. Hats off and congratulations because Mission Impossible 4 Ghost Protocol is not only the best instalment of the film franchise, but also Tom Cruise's best action flick ever.

It's also quite fast paced for an over 2 hour film as well. I regret for not watching this at an IMAX cinema. After watching Mission Impossible 4, I believe Apple products will save us from nuclear destruction. Especially the iPad.

Favourite scene: Definitely the Burj Khalifa scene. Top notch cinematography and thrilling action.

With a screen time of 132 minutes, “Ghost Protocol” is a bit long, and it doesn't lose its momentum till end.  Its an 'Impossible' Mission Full Of Fun And Wonder. Its worth seeing again. I gave 11 over 10 stars :P

India celebrates Vijay Diwas today

The Indo-Pakistani War of 1971 was a major conflict between India and Pakistan. The war is closely associated with Bangladesh Liberation War (sometimes also referred to as Pakistani Civil War). There is an argument about exact dates of the war. However, hostilities commenced officially between India and Pakistan on the evening of December 3, 1971. The armed conflict on India's western front during the period between 3 December 1971 and 16 December 1971 is called the Indo-Pakistani War by both the Bangladeshi and Indian armies. The war ended in a defeat for the Pakistani military in a fortnight.

India celebrates Vijay Diwas on Friday. It was on December 16, 1971 the Indian Army liberated East Pakistan, paving the way for the formation of Bangladesh.

It was also on this day that the largest military surrender after World War II took place. Over 90,000 Pakistani soldiers were taken prisoners by India.

Remote Control your Windows PC with Email or SMS

It's a long weekend and you're happy because you'll get to spend the next three days with your family. You left the office in an excited mood but as the cab was approaching home, you suddenly realized that you forgot to shut down the Office PC. Oops!

It's a sinking feeling because there're so many confidential documents on the computer and since most of your trusted colleagues have also left for the day, there's no point calling them for help. So what do you do?

Drive back to Office? Well that's not required - just take out your cell phone or switch on the laptop at home, send an email (or an SMS or a tweet) and that will instantly lock your Office workstation. And if you share the same computer with multiple people, you can use another email command to remotely log off or even shut down the computer from anywhere in the world.

There's no magic here, it's the power of TweetMyPC utility that lets you remote control your computer from a mobile phone or any other Internet connected computer.

TweetMyPC

TweetMyPC is a little software-application for Windows, written in VB.Net using the .Net-Framework v3.5 SP1, which allows you to control and access your computer from anywhere by simply sending a twitter-message with a special command as its content.

It works like this. You first install the free TweetMyPC utility on any Windows PC and associate your Twitter account. The app will silently monitor your Twitter stream every minute for any desktop commands and if it finds one, will act upon it immediately.

Before we get started, it may be a good thing if you can set up a new twitter account for remote controlling your desktop and also protect the status updates of this account to ensure better security.

Go to your new twitter account and In the setting page you will find a check box to protect your Tweets. Check it on.

Now Download TweetMyPc from here . Install it in your computer and associate your Twitter and Gmail account with the application. It will use Twitter to receive remote commands (like shutdown, log-off, lock workstation, etc) from while the email account will be used for send your information (e.g., what process are currently running on your computer).

During this process it will ask to Sign in to your twitter account and you have to enter the PIN Number to complete the authorization.

Next to ensure the connectivity send a test tweet from TweetMyPc. If it is properly connected your tweet will appear in your timeline.

How to Send Commands to the Remote Computer

Now that your basic configuration is done, it's time to set up a posting method. You can use email, SMS, IM, web or any of the Twitter clients to send commands to the remote computer.

By Email: Associate you Twitter account with Posterous (auto-post) and all email messages sent to twitter@posterous.com will therefore become commands for the remote computer. (Also see: Post to Twitter via Email)

By SMS: If you live in US, UK, Canada, India, Germany, Sweden or New Zeleand, you can send associate Twitter with your mobile phone (see list of numbers) and then control your remote computer via SMS Text Messages.

By IM: Add the Twitter bot - twitter@twitter.com - to your list of Google Talk buddies and you can then send commands via instant message.

By Web: If you are on vacation but have access to an internet connected laptop, just log into the Twitter website and issue commands (e.g., shutdown or logoff) just as another tweet.

When ever you want to shutdown , restart or logoff your PC. Just login to your Twitter account and post a new Tweet: Shutdown / Restart / Logoff.

Similar utility TweetMyMac is also available for MAC users.

What True Love Means

(A girl and guy were speeding over 100 mph on a motorcycle)

Girl: Slow down. I’m scared.
Guy: No this is fun.
Girl: No its not. Please, it’s too scary!
Guy: Then tell me you love me.
Girl: Fine, I love you. Slow down!
Guy: Now give me a BIG hug. (Girl hugs him)
Guy: Can u take my helmet off and put it on? It’s bugging me.

In the paper the next day: A motorcycle had crashed into a building because of break failure. Two people were on the motorcycle, but only one survived.

The truth was that halfway down the road, the guy realized that his breaks broke, but he didn't want to let the girl know. Instead, he had her say she loved him, felt her hug one last time, then had her wear his helmet so she would live even though it meant he would die.
